Bilateral documents are signed by the outcome of Turkmen – Qatar high-level talks

Turkmen – Qatar high-level negotiations were held in Doha. Emir of the State of Qatar Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held extended meeting with participation of official delegation of two countries and then had one-on-one conversation.

Current high summit proves the intent of the sides to bring strategic and long-term partnership to new level. Turkmenistan expresses great interest in studying of Qatar experience as a country achieved considerable development in economy, science and education, energy and sport spheres.

Large opportunities for development of trade and economic cooperation and diversification of trade turnover were noted. Our countries also have huge hydrocarbon reserves what calls for the partnership in fuel and energy complex.

Having shared the visions on broad spectrum of subjects of Turkmen – Qatar partnership, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani specified the approaches to implementation of efficient cooperation in different spheres. After negotiations, bilateral documents signing ceremony took place.

There is Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Training of Diplomats between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Diplomacy of the State of Qatar among the documents. Memoranda of Understanding on development of cooperation in energy and cooperation in standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation were adopted on intergovernmental level.

The State National Service Turkmenhowayollary and the Department of Civil Aviation of the State of Qatar signed Memorandum of Understanding. Another document is related environment subject. This is Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in biodiversity and natural protection.
