On the meeting with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations

On April 18, 2026, on the sidelines of the 5th Diplomatic Forum held in Antalya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Ángel Moratinos.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of cooperation in promoting a culture of peace, advancing inter-civilizational dialogue, and strengthening mutual understanding.

The Turkmen side reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the principles of peace, trust, good-neighborliness, and equal international cooperation. It was emphasized that the internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan serves as an effective tool for fostering constructive dialogue and strengthening mutual understanding on a global scale.

The readiness of Turkmenistan to continue constructive dialogue and contribute to international efforts aimed at promoting a culture of peaceful coexistence was confirmed.
