New glass factory in Ahal Velayat to make export oriented production

The facility started working in test mode. The construction of big industrial complex with the factory for preparation of silica sand that is used as the main material for glass production was started in 2015. The project was done under the state programmes of import substitution and export orientation. 

The production of glass by floatation method is new production technology in our country. Production trains of the facility include material preparation workshop, melting section, various size and thickness glass production workshop, tempering operation and ready-made production workshop. The factory is designed to make seven types of different production including transparent, tinted, laminated and tempered glass for windows with total output capacity of 7.2 million square meters per year as well as 85 millions units of various clear and colour bottles for drinks and medicines with 0.3 to 3 litres volume. 

By the provision with modern energy saving technologies, quality and variety of production, the facility will be highly competitive with the orientation on the most perspectives directions in this sphere. Bringing the facility to design output capacity will allow considerable reduction of the import of related production and the export of it in the future.
