Representatives of the Austrian business circles have familiarised with key tendencies of development of Turkmen economy

In the conference hall of the hotel "Archabil" the Turkmen-Austrian business forum took place. For participation in the meeting in the capital the delegation as a part of heads and representatives of official bodies and companies of Austria specialising in areas of power, mechanical engineering, agriculture and food-processing industry, manufacture of building materials, road building, transport and logistics, public health services, tourism, education and software arrived. 

At the opening of the forum the gathered underlined that for today in Turkmenistan all conditions for effective activity of foreign companies are created, essential privileges for foreign business that is good stimulus for interaction escalating, are provided. 

From the Turkmen side representatives of several sectoral departments, ministries and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country took part in the event. 

The working agenda included issues of strengthening and expansion of trade and economic relations, acquaintance of business circles of Austria with investment possibilities of Turkmenistan, prospect of realisation of joint projects on creation of innovative manufacturing enterprises and introduction of the advanced information and marketing technologies. 

The head of the Austrian delegation - director general for foreign economic relations of the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy of Austria Franz WESSIG noted great value of the forum in the context of forward development of bilateral cooperation and as more active dialogue between Turkmenistan and the European Union. The visitor especially underlined an increasing interest of the world community in Turkmenistan which consistently puts into practice peace policy, creation and social progress. 

Representatives of the friendly country were acquainted with the current macroeconomic situation, investment climate, and actual directions of development of business in Turkmenistan. It allowed foreign visitors to receive evident representation of large scale of the transformations occurring in our state creating the platform for successful integration of the country with the world economic system and opening the great possibilities for expansion of international partnership. 

Within the forum bilateral meetings between representatives of ministries and departments, private companies and businessmen of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria in which new contacts were established, took place, prospects of enhancement of cooperation were discussed. 

Having expressed confidence that the partnership between two countries will develop, participants of the business forum once again noted a dynamical character of the Turkmen-Austrian relations which develop on principles of trust and mutual benefit. 

Importance of similar meetings on a regular basis with a view of development of general approaches to formation of uniform platform for the further effective interaction and discussion of issues will proceed tomorrow on December 5, during the 9th session of the Turkmen-Austrian joint commission, was underlined. 

At the session of the commission key themes of traditional partnership and new spheres of establishment of potentials of economy of two states will be discussed.
