Presentation of the book “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road” is held under Caspian - Black Sea Forum Beyond Energy

The Trade and Industrial Chamber of Romania hosted Caspian-Black Sea Forum Beyond Energy aimed at the introduction of social and economic potential as well as investment opportunities of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia to local companies. During the meeting, Embassy personnel of these states made topical presentations. 

The representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Romania, Trade and Industrial Chamber of the country, mass media and public, more than forty big companies operating in transport, energy, chemical, industrial, consulting, pharmaceutical, food, tourist, textile and other spheres were the participants of the event. 

After the presentations, bilateral meetings took place in the fields of the forum. Personnel of Turkmen diplomatic mission made detailed introduction of the key directions of social and economic development of the country, its resources and investment potential, transport and logistic infrastructure and large projects implemented in different spheres. 

The presentation of the book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road” that raised keen interest took place under the forum. The participants of the event organized by the Embassy of our country with the support of the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Romania highlighted that new work of the Head of the State dedicated to the richest history, culture and traditions of Turkmen people and modern achievements of the country would be interesting for the readers in many world countries. 

The relevance of new book of the President of Turkmenistan in the context of the study of civilization phenomenon of the Great Silk Road that played the great role in the development of economic, diplomatic, scientific and cultural relations between the countries it cross has been highlighted. 

The participants of the presentation noted that the Great Silk Road played an important role in the dialog of two great civilizations of the West and the East. Active interchange of culture, spiritual values and discoveries, practice of management and secrets of crafts used to take place via caravan routes. Economic diplomacy formed by this became an important tool in the achievement of understanding, political harmony and progress. 

The book allows considering initiative and constructive position of neutral Turkmenistan in international arena, its endeavour for regional and global integration. It is symbolically that the name of the book became the slogan of 2018 in Turkmenistan.
