The theme of the Turkmen-Chinese scientific forum will be Cooperation in the sphere of high technologies

The first Turkmen-Chinese scientific and innovation forum will take place in Ashgabat at the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan on October 11-12. Its purpose is to determine the priorities for cooperation in the field of high technologies and their implementation in production. The facilitators are the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. 

A plenary session and round tables on various topical issues includes the program of the two-day meeting. Ecology, seismology, chemical technologies and the development of new materials, livestock and veterinary, renewable energy sources, biology and medicinal plants, medicine and pharmacology, agriculture and others are the main topics on the agenda of the forum. 

More than thirty leading scientists from China's scientific, academic institutions and universities will take part in the conference from the Chinese side. More than 200 specialists will participate from Turkmenistan, including representatives of various research institutions, universities, ministries and departments, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. 

As known, the agreement on conducting the Turkmen-Chinese scientific and innovation forum was achieved at Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit held in Tashkent last June, during the meeting of the leaders of Turkmenistan and China. 

The key topic of the forum is innovative cooperation, creating a platform for joint projects in the field of high-tech production. The forthcoming meeting serves to give impulse to efforts in the creating of a competitive future economy. 

Rich cultural and educational program is foreseen for the Chinese side after the completion of the scientific dialogue. The guests will visit the Museum of the Technology Center, the largest exhibition centers, make an excursion to the sights of the Turkmen capital, including the ultramodern multifunctional Ashgabat Olympic town, where the V Asian Games in indoor and martial arts have been recently successfully held. It is also foreseen a visit to one of the major shopping centers of the capital - "Altyn Asyr", where a wide range of high quality, eco-friendly and competitive textile products is on sale, which finds a market abroad.
