The president of Turkmenistan was decorated with the Order of Alexander Nevsky

Today, in the Palace complex "Oguzhan", upon completion of negotiations of Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin with participation of members of official delegations of two countries a solemn ceremony of awarding of the head of Turkmenistan with a high state award of the Russian Federation – Order of Alexander Nevsky took place. 

Having expressed his sincere gratitude to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for his honour, the Turkmen leader noticed that he accepts this honourable award as a sign of respect for all Turkmen people, a symbol of steady growth and all-round strengthening of traditionally friendly Turkmen-Russian relations. We intend to do henceforth all necessary for all-round strengthening of interstate dialogue and are ready to intensify all available solid potential of Turkmen-Russian partnership, the head of the state told. 

Having underlined that today Russia is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan, cooperation of two countries dynamically develops in all directions, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that the existing high level of trust and mutual understanding between our people will serve to form a strong basis for the further development of Turkmen-Russian partnership.
