The repeated election of Turkmenistan during recent years by Vice-President of the UN General Assembly, entry into the Organization’s important structural entities, opening of a Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in Ashgabat at the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov testifies to our country’s authority growth in the international arena.
Creative initiatives, being put forward by Turkmenistan at the sessions of the UN General Assembly are focused on strengthening the cooperation within the declared UN Agenda for sustainable development until 2030.
The current visit of the UN Secretary-General, which main item of the program is the meeting of António Guterres with President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, is expected to become the next significant step towards strategic partnership.
