Turkmen students take part in Beijing International Cultural Festival

Turkmen students of the Capital Normal University of the city of Beijing took part in an international cultural festival organized by the university in order to expand humanitarian ties and bring together representatives of different nationalities who study in the People’s Republic of China.
More than 100 students from 26 countries, including Turkmenistan, USA, Canada, Germany, Korea, Italy, Russia, etc., participated in the event.
Representatives of each of the countries on their own organized small expositions introducing numerous guests to the culture, national cuisine and the life of their people.
Turkmen students did their best, giving their stand a look that immediately caught the eye and attracted the attention of numerous participants and guests of the event.
Decorated on all sides by famous Turkmen carpets, images of Ahal-Teke horses, which, by the way, are very popular and appreciated in the Middle Kingdom, Turkmenistan’s stand was the most colorful and attractive.
The festival also hosted a big concert, which demonstrated a unique diversity of cultures. Turkmen students presented the “Kushdepdi” dance on the stage, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The rhythm of this unique and at the same time very simple dance captivates any audience, as if having some hypnotic, or even magical properties. Brighter and more detailed images of the festival are available in the photos, which were provided to ORIENT by the participants of the festival.
