The Beijing Peace Festival, organized by the China International Peace Foundation in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China, took place in Beijing

On September 21, 2026, the 12th Beijing Peace Festival was held in Beijing's Peace Park. It was organized by the China International Peace Foundation and the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation in close cooperation with the Embassies of Turkmenistan and Austria in China.

The event was attended by ambassadors and diplomats from foreign countries, representatives of international organizations, scholars, and other guests who gathered to celebrate intercultural understanding and promote peace.

This year's festival featured keynote speeches and discussions on pressing global issues, such as conflict resolution, global governance, intercivilizational cooperation, cultural exchanges along the Silk Roads, youth development, and international humanitarian assistance.

During the events, special note was made of Turkmenistan's role in strengthening peace and trust with the United Nations, which serves as the foundation of global peace and a guarantor of the interests of all nations. Cooperation with the UN continues to be a core element of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, especially regarding the peaceful settlement of interstate disputes.

In particular, this year during the 106th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the resolution "International Year of Law, 2028," initiated by Turkmenistan, was adopted by consensus. Seventy-eight states co-sponsored the document, demonstrating widespread international support for this initiative.

As part of the event, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the PRC organized a large-scale photo exhibition dedicated to the motto of the year, "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — Homeland of Purposeful Winged Steeds," as well as an arts and crafts exhibition reflecting the rich heritage of national traditions. The exposition featured works by Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, photographs of modern life and cultural-historical sites in Turkmenistan, national jewelry, and other symbols of Turkmen culture. The exhibition allowed guests to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Turkmenistan's historical and cultural heritage, while also emphasizing the importance of preserving and popularizing traditional values in the modern world.
