THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN RECEIVED THE EU SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR CENTRAL ASIA

On May 4, 2022, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia, Ms. Teri Hakala.

Expressing gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting, the guest conveyed warm greetings to the head of the Turkmen state from the leaders of the European Union and, taking the opportunity, congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedov on taking office as the President of Turkmenistan.

Having cordially welcomed the EU Special Representative for Central Asia to the hospitable Turkmen land and thanked for the congratulations, the President of Turkmenistan conveyed his best wishes to the leadership of the European Union.

During the meeting, the interlocutors expressed their interest in steadily building up the established productive interaction, emphasizing the readiness of the parties to search for effective forms and new areas of partnership, as well as its intensification in the political, economic, humanitarian and environmental spheres.

Noting with satisfaction the positive development of multifaceted interested cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union, which has recently acquired a progressive and substantive character, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that with the opening of the official representation of the European Union in Turkmenistan in 2019, our relations received new dynamics and content.

Emphasizing once again that cooperation with the European Union is highly appreciated in Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction with the desire of the parties to continue to contribute to the strengthening and expansion of a fruitful partnership.
