Turkmenistan’s Railway Transport to be Capitalized

Ministry of Railway Transport prepares for capitalization of the sector’s enterprises. As reported at the Government session by the Vice-Premier in charge of transport and communication, B.Annameredov, works are ongoing to improve the legal and organizational structure of several subordinate enterprises. It has been proposed to create a public company, Turkmendemiryollary, with equity participation of merged proprietorships of the Ashgabat section of the railway.

Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov supported the proposal on establishing Turkmendemiryollary public company, and instructed the Vice-Premier to elaborate further on the issue.
