On April 18, the President of Turkmenistan will start his state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan

On April 18, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov will begin his state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, undertaken by the Turkmen leader at the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Noting the emphasis of the forthcoming Astana Summit, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov expressed his confidence that it would gain a forceful momentum to the implementation of diverse interaction potential, and facilitate to the expansion into new relevant areas of partnership.

A regular exchange of visits of delegations of the two countries contributed to it. The systematic deepening of the traditional inter-state relations is evidenced by the bilateral agreements, reached according to the results of the Turkmen leader’s official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan in May, 2013 and the official visit of the friendly country’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Turkmenistan, held in December, 2014.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have the unified positions on such key issues on the global agenda, as the preservation and maintenance of world peace and stability, international counterterrorism, extremism, disarmament problems, settlement of the situation in Afghanistan. Our countries closely cooperate within the framework of the United Nations (UN), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are effectively interacting together on a wide range of areas, including in trade-economic sphere, energy, transport- communication sectors, as well as in the sphere of cultural-humanitarian relations.

A vivid example of the pragmatic approach to the establishing partnership was the execution of major joint projects, including the construction of the transnational pipeline through which Turkmen natural gas is delivered to China, and the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran trunk railway.

The activation of trade-economic relations is resulted from the holding of joint business forums, reciprocal participation in fairs and exhibitions. So, Turkmenistan intends to present an expanded exposition at the “EXPO-2017” to be held in Astana from June 10 to September 10 of the current year.

Centuries-old historic and cultural community conciliates Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Both countries distinguish the particular importance to continue the traditional humanitarian contacts, particularly in education, science and applied research, culture and creative exchange.

The regular meeting of the two neighboring states’ leaders will gain a powerful momentum to the further progressive promotion and consolidation of cooperative constructive relationship.
