Meeting was held between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Russian Federation

On October 8, 2026, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in high-level international events held in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone.

The Head of the Turkmen State warmly welcomed the President of the Russian Federation, thanking him for accepting the invitation to participate in the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State and the Caspian Environmental Summit.

“We highly value your personal attention to the development of regional cooperation and view the meetings in Avaza as an opportunity for an open exchange of views, the formulation of joint approaches, and the definition of new areas of interaction,” said the Head of State. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the current visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan would contribute to the further strengthening of friendly ties between the two countries.
