Turkmenistan stands for the involvement of Afghanistan in economic integration processes

On 30 August 2024, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Turkmen and Afghan delegations dedicated to the development of bilateral relations. The Afghan delegation was headed by Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan Hidayatullah Badri. The Turkmen delegation included Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, heads of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan. 

At the meeting, the delegations discussed current issues of partnership in key sectors of the economy. 

During the talks, the active position of Turkmenistan on involving Afghanistan in economic integration processes through the implementation of international projects was reiterated. 

Upon the outcomes of the meeting, the parties signed bilateral documents aimed at practical implementation of joint projects in the energy and transport sectors.
